Sometimes the hardest part of building the Pinewood Derby's car is inspiration, sometime it can be access to the right tools, and sometime it just plain slips your mind until the last second. Well this year Pack 216 will be having a Pinewood Derby Building Workshop to help you overcome any obstacle that you may have. This workshop will give your boys access to everything they need in order to build their dream Pinewood Derby Car. The scouts can bring a car in progress just needing some finishing touches, or they can show up with nothing but their unopened kit in hand.

If there are certain items that you wish to have on your car you can bring them along as well. There is a great selection of decals, accessories, and tools available on scoutstuff.com. There is also a great selection aviailable at Hobby Lobby, however please keep the rules in mind while shopping there. All functional parts of the car must come from an official BSA pinewood derby kit. All approved kits will have the BSA logo located on the box. Any non functional part of the car (racers, steering wheels, roll cages, etc.) can be third party, but must also be within the design specifications set forth in the rules.

We will be in need of more adult volunteers and any available tooling that could help out with the workshop as well. If you are willing to help our scouts build cars please bring along any supplies that you feel would be beneficial.
